Kitesurfing Assistant Instructor Course in Cabarete, Dominican Republic
This IKO (International Kiteboarding Organisation) Assistant Instructor qualification is open to beginner and intermediate kitesurfers with a passion for adrenalin-fueled watersports! The 6 week course is perfect for any gap year, career break or adventure holiday and will see you improve your own kitesurfing ability before gaining the IKO Assistant Instructor qualification.
After working up through your IKO Levels (to Level 3) during the first 4 weeks, you will spend the final two weeks training to become an assistant instructor - this is the foundation level for any kiteboarder wishing to start a career as a professional instructor. On successful completion of the course you will be able to gain paid employment at kitesurfing schools all over the world!
You will also gain a First Aid and CPR certificate, maximising your employability and providing you with the necessary lifesaving skills to work safely in the kitesurfing industry.
Kitesurfing Instructor Course in Cabarete, Dominican Republic
This is the perfect course for any intermediate kitesurfer who wants to kick start their career as a professional instructor while living and experiencing one of the world’s top kitesurfing destinations, Cabarete – a tropical beach paradise in the Dominican Republic.
The course is open to intermediate kitesurfers who have held their IKO Level 2 for at least 5 months. After an initial revision of your key skills with professional instructors, you will work through your Assistant Instructor, Instructor Level 1, First Aid and Powerboading qualifications. All of these elements will develop your kitesurfing knowledge, ocean awareness and communication skills - essential qualities for any successful kitesurfing instructor.
By the end of the course, you should be a confident kiteboarding instructor who can effectively manage the training of student kitesurfers, issuing their correct equipment, evaluating their strengths and correcting their weaknesses, all while being fully aware of the dangers involved in teaching the sport.
