Ski Amis are a family run business which has been operating in the French Alps since 1989. Our chalets are in the French Alps in a number of good quality resorts in the Three Valleys and Paradiski areas. Our team is selected on their personalities and dedication to quality – if you’re just looking to ski and party for the season and do the minimum you need to get by, then go and look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to get some job satisfaction, happy clients, good tips, good accommodation and a good crowd to work with as well as getting plenty of free skiing time, then you’ve come to the right place.

Job description:

The chalet hosts will all be based in our Chalet Christine in La Tania and as a team, together with the chef and chalet supervisor, be responsible for the operation of the 28 bed chalet, reporting to the Chalet Supervisor. Duties include cleaning and chambermaiding, food preparation, serving on tables, laundry, driving, stock counting, small general chalet maintenance and shopping.

Duties will be divided among the members of the team depending on the individual skills of the successful candidates to allow plenty of time for free skiing for the organised team!

Minimum age 21 due to insurance requirements for driving.

Minimum qualifications / experience: 

  • Some catering or hospitality industry experience preferred – either previous chalet experience, waitressing, chamber maiding, kitchen hand, sous-chef or working in another role in a restaurant
  • Excellent social skills and a sense of humour
  • Team players
  • Full driving licence held for at least 2 years
  • Appreciation of quality customer service
     

Basic Conditions

  • £375 per month paid in the UK
  • Season ski pass compensation for Courchevel
  • Ski accident insurance and emergency medical cover
  • Ski equipment rental for the season
  • Uniform
  • Board and lodging in the chalet – rooms shared between two people
  • Travel to and from the UK at the beginning and end of the contract
  • One day off per week plus staggered daily duties allowing plenty of free skiing
