Powder White are currently recruiting for strong Chalet Managers and couples to run their chalets in the resorts of Courchevel 1850 & 1650, Meribel, Mottaret and Val d'Isere in France, St Anton in Austria and Verbier in Switzerland.
The position of Chalet Manager offers a really rewarding and fulfilling way in which to spend 5 months in the snow. It is a fantastic way to meet new people hold a position of real responsibility which will set you up with superb experience which is adaptable to so many future roles you may take on.
What the Position involves:
1. Ensuring that our guests benefit from the highest possible service with a 'Nothing is too much trouble' ethic
2. Preparing cooked & continental breakfasts, sumptuous afternoon teas, pre-dinner canapes and 4-course evening meals
3. Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and compliable with hygiene regulations at all times
4. Laying the tables to the Powder White standard for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner
5. Oversee & take overall responsibility for the cleanliness of your chalet with the help of a Chalet Cleaner (where applicable)
6. Involvement in full chalet changeover on arrivals/departures day with the help of a Chalet Cleaner (where applicable)
7. Shopping, managing your own shopping/ordering list and carrying out weekly stock-takes
Budgeting and controlling chalet float completing weekly accounts returns
8. Maintaining sufficient stocks of dried goods, bathroom accessories, cleaning materials and selection of wines
9. Booking restaurants and taking responsibility for smooth delivery of guest ski passes, helping with skire hire and tuition.
Successful applicants will need to have a personable and outgoing personality, ability to act under pressure and keep a clear head, be a good team player, have excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills, be pro-active, professional and flexbile.
You must be an EU passport holder and preferably have previous hospitality & entertaining experience. A cooking qualification or proof of professional cooking experience is preferred and conversational French is ideal.
