At our Beam House residential children's activity centre in North Devon, our guests are introduced to surfing at Westward Ho! beach.
We're looking for Surfing Instructors who are passionate surfers to teach and inspire our enthusiastic young guests to make sure they get the most from their experience.
Ideally you will hold a qualification from the British Surf Association (BSA) Level 1 award.
We are also keen to hear from you if you are an accomplished surfer yet do not currently hold any instructor qualifications as we can put you forward for BSA awards.
At certain times throughout the year, we offer surfing holidays to unaccompanied groups of children who spend the week surfing each day.
As a Surfing Instructor, you'll also be trained and assessed to deliver our core multi-activity sessions when you are not on surfing duty. These include abseiling, ropes courses, quad biking, archery and more.
This is a fun and rewarding job that gives you the chance to work outside. Many of the staff working in other roles at the centre also go surfing during their free time.
We offer a highly competitive wage paid four-weekly to our Surfing/Activity Instructors who hold their BSA Level 1 coach award. A full board residential package is available.
Beam House activity centre is located two miles from Torrington; five miles from Bideford and 15 miles from Barnstaple. All activities take part in the 20 acres of ground, expect surfing, which takes place at Westward Ho! beach, a short drive away. Staff are transported to the beach from the centre. Up to 150 young guests can be accommodated at the centre, and with a maximum of 45 staff living and working on site, there's an active social life ready and waiting for you.
