This is an exciting programme for ambitious and adventurous people who want to experience the real China.
This programme provides you with a unique opportunity to get paid work in China as an English teacher. During your time in China, you will work as an English teacher, study the Chinese language and learn all about the culture. In the school holidays you will have the chance to travel the country.
There are 3 lengths of programmes available these are a 6 week (summer programme), or a 6 & a 12 month programme.
Programme Details
You will recieve TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) training and certification which will help to prepare you how to teach English in China and help you get the most out of your gap year experience.
During your training you will also take part in Mandarin lessons (the predominant language in China) and have a full orientation. This will include loads of information on living, working, cultures, customs and travelling around. This will set you up well for your gap year in China. After your orientation and TEFL training you will start your placement.
The emphasis of the placement is teaching English and the British culture. You might also be able to help out in music, history, sport, geography or science lessons. As part of your duties you will be expected to plan your own lessons, take attendance, correct homework and assist in the administration of the school.
All the schools are of a high standard with good equipment and resources.

We work with schools all over China.
Accommodation & Meals
The accommodation will vary between schools. By western standards, the accommodation may be considered basic, but by Chinese standards the accommodation provided to foreign teachers is spacious and of a high standard. You can expect to share communal facilities.
Meals are served in a dining hall. There is usually a separate staff dining hall. Chinese food is fresh, but milk, potatoes, bread and coffee are very rare. Rice and tea are staples, but every meal offers a variety of dishes.

Pay £195 deposit to book. Balance due 12 weeks prior to departure.
