CCC is an award-winning, non-profit organisation dedicated to providing resources to help sustain the livelihoods of local communities and alleviate poverty through the protection and restoration of tropical forests and coral reefs. CCC sends teams of volunteers to scientifically survey some of the world’s most endangered coral reefs and tropical forests. At present we have projects in the Philippines, Tobago and Papua New Guinea.

Volunteers play a crucial role in the conservation of threatened tropical environments through the collection of scientific data. Information collected in the field is compiled and analysed in order to formulate sustainable management recommendations. CCC has so far helped to establish several marine reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. Data gathered by CCC volunteers formed an intrinsic part in the designation of the Belize Barrier Reef as a World Heritage Site in 1996 and also played a crucial role in the establishment of the Danjugan Island Marine reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary in the Philippines in February 2000.

Anyone can be a CCC volunteer, anyone can make a difference!
