Fancy working in the friendly personal environment of one of our larger chalet properties, looking after your own set of guests each week and ensuring that the food they are served is of the highest standard? Are you the sort of outgoing person who has a love for cooking in particular, as well as entertaining? If you are and want to be a part of the Skiworld team in some of the best European ski resorts, then chalet chef is the job for you.
 

Requirements 
 
Proven catering experience for a minimum of 20 people; a passion for and interest in the preparation and presentation of food; catering qualifications an advantage; previous hospitality experience; demonstrating high standards of cleanliness and presentation; excellent communication and customer service skills; fun and outgoing personality with a flexible attitude.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Extensive cooking experience in catering for large numbers
Can work well under pressure
Highly motivated and able to motivate others
Able to work on own initiative
Good team player
Excellent organisational skills
A flexible hands on approach & pro active

DESIRABLE SKILLS
Recognised cooking/catering qualification
Previous ski season experience
Previous direct customer service experience
Good conversational French/German
Experience of living and working aboard
Full clean driving licence
Experience in budgeting and accounting, handling cash

Main responsibilities 
 
Providing breakfast, afternoon tea, and 3-course evening meals in accordance with the set-menu plan; assisting with the cleaning of all bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas daily as required; additional responsibilities include the weekly shopping and ordering of chalet supplies; completion of chalet accounts and paperwork; ensuring that the chalet meets Skiworld health and safety requirements.
Above all else, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are achieved and maintained at all times, and ensuring that our guests have a wonderful and enjoyable week in your company.

Positions based in Europe and Whistler.
 
 
All applicants for European positions must have a permanent National Insurance number, a UK or EU passport, a UK contact address and a UK bank account. All applicants for Whistler must be in possession of a BUNAC visa. All applicants for North America must be at least 25 (for car hire purposes) and in possession of a full clean driving licence.
